Upma is popular breakfast or “tiffin” (evening snack) in South India. It is easy to make and quite filling. Upma is basically roasted semolina cooked in tempered water.

Ingredients Needed
1 cup rava(sooji rava)
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp mustered seeds
1/2 tsp uraddal
1/2 tsp chana dal
2 broken red chilli
Few curry leaves
3 green chillies
1 tomato
1 tbsp grated ginger
Pinch termeric powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
Salt to taste
2 cups water
Coriander leaves
